3D OBJECTS FACTORY
A module that allows you to combine basic and downloadable 3D objects, creating from them, like from cubes, one common object that can be placed on the launch pad.
BASIC INFORMATION
Simple 3D objects
Simple 3D factory objects can be considered those whose shape consists of a single mesh. In this case, the number of polygons and the accuracy of the mesh are not taken into account.
Combined 3D objects
Combined 3D objects are those objects whose shape consists of several meshes.
Nested 3D objects
When assembling a 3D object in Factory mode, there is always one main object to which the 3D object settings are applied, including trigger settings.
All other 3D objects, including simple and combined ones, that are added to the main object are considered nested. Triggers and collision conditions are not applied to them.
Particles
Particles are a special type of material whose behavior and appearance are set by programmers.
DINRAY 3D allows you to use and configure particles separately, as part of complex objects, and when combining objects in Factory mode.
OBJECT SELECTION PANEL
Embedded objects
All 3D objects of the DINRAY 3D base set that are available for launching from the launch pad can be used in Factory mode.
Downloadable objects (version)
All 3D objects in OBJ format loaded by the user can be used in Factory mode.
3D OBJECT ASSEMBLY PANEL
Placing objects on the assembly panel
The main object, to which triggers are attached and all settings of the 3D object on the launch pad are applied, is always displayed at the top of the assembly panel.
All nested 3D objects that are attached to the main object are displayed in the assembly panel below the display of the main object.
All particles that are attached to 3D objects are displayed in the assembly panel below the display of the main object.
SETTINGS PANEL OF THE SELECTED 3D OBJECT
Different settings are available for the main 3D object and its nested 3D objects, depending on the type of 3D object.
The settings are different for 3D objects and particles, which allows for more flexible control over combinations of 3D objects in Factory mode.
Size
The size of the main 3D object and nested 3D objects is adjustable along the three XYZ axes.
It is possible to specify the size explicitly or within a range of values to launch the 3D object with a random size value.
It should be taken into account that all 3D objects have different sizes initially - a soccer ball is different from a tennis ball. Doubling the size will set a different value for each of them.
Tilt along XYZ axes
The starting angle of rotation of the 3D object in space when launched from the launch pad is configured along three axes XYZ.
It is possible to clearly specify the rotation angles or configure them within a range of values for launching a 3D object with a random value of the rotation angles.
Rotation along XYZ axes
The rotation speed of the 3D object after launching from the launch pad is adjustable along three XYZ axes.
It is possible to clearly specify the rotation speed or adjust it within a range of values to launch the 3D object with a random rotation speed value.
Form modifiers
This setting allows you to assign various modifiers to the basic shape of a 3D object.
A modifier is added by dragging the desired one onto the 3D object modifier cassette on the launch pad or by double-clicking the mouse.
Applying modifications
Since the modifier is a similar 3D object consisting of a shape and a material, the modification of the main shape of the 3D object can consist of changing the shape and material or changing them separately.
It is possible to separately adjust the modification by the color of the material.
NESTED PARTICLE SETTINGS PANEL
Color setting
In most cases, you can change the color of the particles and its saturation.
The color can be set to a fixed color, one of two, or set to select a random color.
Particle size
The particle size can be changed, although this setting should be used with caution. Changing the size can greatly affect the effect generated.
Duration
The duration of the particles can be changed, although this setting should be used with caution. Changing the size can greatly affect the effect generated.
Speed at the start
The speed at which the particles are emitted at the start can be changed, although this setting should be used with caution. Changing the size can greatly affect the effect generated.
Rotation
The rotation of the particles can be changed, although this setting should be used with caution. Changing the size can greatly affect the effect generated.
The force of gravity
The gravity strength of the particles can be changed, although this setting should be used with caution. Changing the size can greatly affect the effect generated.
