TRIGGERS
Triggers are elements of the 3D object behavior control system.
All DINRAY 3D triggers are placed on 3D objects and contain a configurable trigger condition, a selectable action, and two timers to choose from - an object timer and a common program timer for all triggers. The action is performed after the condition occurs and the time for the selected timer occurs.
For objects that are created by a trigger condition, you can select the location of their appearance, which is determined in advance by the 3D object settings. In this case, the trigger will process only these 3D object appearance settings.
Each trigger can be activated independently of each other.
Assigning triggers
Triggers are necessary in cases where a large number of 3D objects are used, or it is necessary to create a rhythmic appearance and disappearance of 3D objects on the stage or a change in the behavior of a 3D object.
The effect of fireworks, kaleidoscope, running line and an infinite variety of effects are possible in DINRAY 3D precisely because of triggers.
The DINRAY 3D artist can control the triggers of 3D objects independently, which gives users unlimited creative possibilities when creating 3D mapping pictures.
Placing triggers on 3D objects
Placing triggers on 3D objects does not require any actions from the user. Triggers on DINRAY 3D 3D objects are always present, only the number of triggers differs depending on the DINRAY 3D version . The user can select the DINRAY 3D version immediately with the required number of triggers attached to the 3D object, or purchase the required number of triggers as part of the program extension packages.
Each 3D object present on the scene always has several triggers. The number of triggers depends on the program version, but each 3D object always has at least one trigger.
Using triggers
Each trigger can be activated as needed. Triggers are configured on the Settings Panel of the selected 3D object on the launch pad.
All triggers attached to the 3D object can be configured independently of each other. Each trigger in this case will operate according to its own timer and condition.
For example, one trigger can create objects, and another can remove a 3D object from the scene.
Additional protection against triggering is the activation and deactivation of the trigger processing module, which is carried out by the button on the Upper Left Panel of the Main Interface
No performance limitations
The trigger system is optimized to the maximum and can work even on outdated computers and laptops. Of course, the more powerful the computer, the more triggers can be used simultaneously on each object and the more complex the 3D mapping effects will be.
The minimum system requirements for a computer on which you can create pictures for projection design using DINRAY 3D can be found here .
Setting trigger inheritance
DINRAY 3D triggers have the ability to inherit the settings for creating other objects. This allows you to process the conditions for launching other objects not only on the launch pad, but also with each created 3D object. In this case, the ability to launch a 3D object at the location of the trigger carrier is added.
This is useful in cases where it is necessary to create a chain reaction of 3D object appearances, like an atomic explosion, when each 3D object generates another 3D object.
This effect should be used carefully, setting limits on the number of objects created and the duration of their presence on the scene. Only powerful servers with modern video cards will be able to process a chain reaction of 3D object creation.
